We had a great field trip to the Ellington Agricultural Museum! We learned about what Christmas was like for kids in the early years of our state. We learned how they made cloth from cotton and wool and used everyday items to decorate the tree. We got to see some toys children might have gotten for Christmas and heard an old familiar Christmas story.

The Food Drive and the Book Fair both end tomorrow! Be sure to bring in your canned food items and go to the library for a new book.

 Eclipse Day-August 21, 2017
It was wonderful to have so many of you join us for the historic eclipse on Monday. Even though the clouds didn't cooperate with us, it was amazing! The children had learned so much about what to expect and what to look for. It was a great day!
It was also wonderful to have you back again on Tuesday night for Open House. The children worked so hard to get things ready to show off their classrooms.

Don't forget about our fundraisers. The last turn in day is TOMORROW, Friday, August 25th!! If we have 60% participation in these fundraisers we will all get an extra day off following the Labor Day holiday! Any student selling $100 will get that day off. Sell, Sell, Sell!
