We are thankful for our sweet Second Graders!

This week we have talked about the things we are thankful for. We have studied about the Pilgrims and Native Americans and their place in our country's history. We have talked about how blessed we are to live the way we do today and how thankful we are for the families, homes, and school God has given us..

We are reading Mr. Popper's Penguins in class and are very excited to be going to Nashville Children's Theater to see the play. We will continue to work on this book unit after we return from Thanksgiving break.

After Thanksgiving break we will have so many things going on as we prepare for the holidays. Be sure to mark your calendars!

We had a great time at Walden Farm last Thursday! The weather was beautiful and we got to see so many neat things! We loved the hayride, climbing on top of the hay bales, and going through the corn maze. All of us got to bring home a pumpkin as well.

Our class Fall parties last Friday were lots of fun. Thanks to all the parents who contributed food and goodies and your time to help us have a wonderful afternoon!

Remember there is no school next Monday, November 6th. All the teachers and staff will be at inservice on that day. There will be no extended care that day either.

Fundraiser information is coming home this afternoon for Yankee Candle sales and Gift wrap. Be sure to check your child's backpack for this information.

Thanksgiving Break will be here soon!!! No school November 20-24.
